This research examines evidence supporting a distributed month end close. Its bounded conclusion is that close evidence completeness should be measured through defined populations, source lineage, compatible units, explicit authority, and retained review evidence. The method supports a buyer decision about process design. It does not audit a company, certify a provider, or determine the correct accounting treatment for a specific transaction.
